Project Management in Theatre – Advanced
This workshop takes a more hands-on approach, providing participants with the opportunity to interact with various Project Management tools and software and how these tools relate to the theatre/film industry.
COURSE OUTLINE

Initiation: Learning how to identify the right projects by linking business needs to the overall outcome; how to create a comprehensive project charter and stakeholder’s plan

Planning: Designing a comprehensive project plan including the budget, scope, timeline and schedule, metrics for success, milestones, deliverables and dependencies etc.

Execution: Understanding how to set clear goals to ensure the project is on track.

Monitoring & Control: Using basic excel or software to ensure project schedule is on track and always remains within budget including building an issue log, conducting quality control assessments and reviews.

Closure: Identifying and learning how to build tools necessary for the closure phase such as the closure report which documents the successes and lessons learned.
